Once you've sponsored a ring, rosettes or an award, nominated clerks and exhibitors for the Spirit of the Great Lakes Awards, sent in your photos and signed up for the banquet, there's still a lot more you can do to help make this show and banquet a success. Help is need with set up and tear down of the show. Set up will begin at 12:00 noon on Friday, and tear down is Sunday after the show ends. Also, back by popular demand: The Great Lakes Region Mega Potluck(aka Polish Alley). Volunteers are needed to help set up and run the potluck, and be sure to bring a dish! We need baked beans, salads, quality cookies, brownies and side dishes including serving dishes and utensils. Electricity will be available for crock pots. For information, contact Eve Russell, eve24@earthlink.net or go Here. We will also be holding or fabulous Regional Awards Show Raffle, and we need donations of raffle items. We have many talented people among us with artistic talent, some great seamstresses, and some people who are genius at sniffing out a good bargain or getting a donation made. Let's keep up the good work and make the raffle at this year's Awards show the best yet. Be on the look out now for what you may want to personally donate to the raffle. Club donations are also a part of what makes the raffle so good. In the past, many clubs donated entries to their shows, while others donated great gift baskets and other items. Please mention the Regional Awards show raffle to your club to see what your club would like to do to support the region and the raffle. For information about the raffle, or to sign up to help set up and/or work at the raffle table, contact Elizabeth Rymph at erymph@tc3net.com. For further information on what you can do to help with this year's show and banquet, contact Teresa Signore at teresa.a.signore@chase.com or Bruce Russell at brucer@sentex.net. Let's make this the best Regional Awards Show and Banquet ever! See you there! |
